What do I have to consider in the company description?

Under the "Description" tab on the content manager you have the possibility to insert two different versions in both English and German:

Description for the company profile: a detailed description (max. 4000 characters) will be visible on the company profile. It is recommended to write the description in English and German, as the entries will be displayed depending on the user's language settings. If you do not enter any text, this area will remain empty.

Description for list view: A short description (max. 300 characters) displayed as a preview, which will appear in the exhibitor search.

How do I manage my products?

Depending on the Media Package you have booked, you can enter one or more products.

After clicking on your self-service link, you will be redirected to the content manager.

Click on "Products". There you can add, edit or delete products.

The products will be displayed in the exhibitor search under products as well as on your company profile and in the product area on the event platform. It is necessary to fill in the mandatory fields in the english as well german translation.

Furthermore, you can determine the order in which the products are visible on your company profile. To delete products, click on the trash icon🗑️.

Is there a connection between the background image and the tile view that is played?

The template shows you how your background image and thus also your tile view will be seen later on IFA Virtual.

Tip: In general we recommend a wallpaper or mood image and advise against using an image with a lot of text, as texts or fonts may be cropped later in the tile view.

I cannot see or access the back office. How do I gain access to the back office?

If you can't see the Backoffice on your company's details page, it means that you haven't been added as an employee yet. One of the existing employees can add you via the Team tab in the Backoffice.

In addition, make sure that networking is activated.

How can I link other colleagues to the company profile?

To add more colleagues to the company profile, please follow the next steps:

  1. Under "Settings" (top right) you will find "My Company", click on it and then on the company name.

  2. Click on the menu item "Backoffice" in the header of your company profile.

  3. In the search box, enter the person's name. It is important that the person has already logged in to ILA Virtual once and that both you and the person have enabled the Networking feature.

  4. Select the person and click on "Add staff".

  5. The person will then appear in the company profile as a contact person for your company and will be able to contact other attendees and make appointments for the show.

A tip on the side, if you do not want to be visible in the company profile, you can deactivate the button "show as contact" under "My company" and will therefore not be displayed in the company profile.

Where and how do I manage appointment and contact requests?

As an exhibitor, it should be noted that there are two different options regarding contact and appointment requests.

Firstly, via the personal profile: Here, the requests appear via the Communication Center (right) via the appointment calendar:

On the other hand, there is still the possibility to make contact and appointment requests via the company profile. The icons Request appointment and Express interest are located in the header of the company profile:

These requests end up in the back office under contact requests or appointment requests. This has the advantage that you can divide the requests among your employees.

Please note that you will not receive any e-mail notifications for requests via the company profile.
