Navigation features: what are the icons on the navigation bar?
The navigation bar is always located on the left margin on every page of the DMEA-Online platform and can be expanded or collapsed. It enables quick and easy navigation.
The navigation bar is collapsed by default.
You can expand it by clicking the corresponding button (three horizontal lines) ☰ at the top of the bar. You can then collapse it again by clicking this button once more.
The following navigation buttons are available:
Home: this is the home page of the DMEA Online platform.
My Schedule: my diary gives you an overview of the live sessions you have bookmarked and the meetings you have organized or accepted.
Exhibitors: here you will find the exhibitor/product directory. You also have the options to filter by individual product groups. You will also find press releases here, as well as the job offers.
Networking: based on the interests you have indicated in your personal profile, networking recommendations will be given to you here, new contacts can be actively searched for here as well as your current connections will be displayed.
Events: under this point you will find the program, which takes place on site.
Support: under this point you get to the support for the DMEA online platform, which is available for questions.
The navigation buttons will take you to the different pages of the DMEA online platform.
When the navigation bar is expanded, icons and the names of the pages are displayed on the buttons. When the navigation bar is collapsed, these pages are represented only by icons.
The names of the pages are then only displayed when you point the mouse cursor at an icon. You can get to a page by clicking on the corresponding icon.
My Communication center: how can I use it?
The “Communication Center” (👤) is always accessible on the right side of the screen on every page.
You can expand or minimize the bar by clicking at the bottom right. The tabs are:
People
Chat
Meeting Schedule
Notifications
You can access these functions by clicking on the corresponding icons at the top right of the bar.
These icons are also displayed in the "Communication Center" when the bar is collapsed.
When you click the expand button at the bottom of the bar, the "Communication Center" expands to show the last section you used. If you click on a special icon, the "Communication Center" is expanded and shows you the corresponding section.
How do I manage my audio/videos settings?
The hardware settings allow you to select the hardware you want to use for the video chat function. You can configure three types of hardware: Camera, input devices (microphones) and output devices (headphones, headsets, speakers).
If you have only one device for one type of hardware, this device will be used automatically.
It is important to note that your browser will display a pop-up window with permission to use your microphone and camera when you first log into the DMEA online platform.
How can I log out/ delete my account?
You can log out via the Communication Center on the right side by clicking on "Settings". The "Log out" button is marked in red.
